Christmas in our Master Bedroom

We are in the middle of a blizzard here in Michigan. Church was canceled today and if the snow continues like expected, schools will be closed tomorrow. So it was a perfect day to take some pictures of our master bedroom and post them.

This skinny tree is perfect for our bedroom. It doesn't take up much room but adds a big punch of Christmas.
A couple of things have changed in here since summer. The large framed art I had here stuck out from the wall too much for us to open our barn door all the way so I got this classic from Joss&Main for this space. I have always loved this painting.
This rug was in our living room and when I bought the new rug, I put this one in here. I like the lighter color.
I added a wreath, some faux amaryllis and a deer to our dresser.
A garland of evergreen, gold ribbon and ornaments is draped across our headboard.

You can tell in this picture that it's a white-out outside. And this is a perfect spot to read and watch the snow fall.

I filled this little tree with satin wired ribbon and gold and silver ornaments.
This is also a perfect place to 'hide' the grand kids presents. They get so excited and shake everything when they come over! lol

We had a fun family photo shoot yesterday. We took a million photos and got about fourteen good ones, and only two that had all three of them looking good. lol

Hope you're staying safe and warm if you're getting this storm too!

love and blessings~

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

  3. Lynda, your home is so dreamy and tranquil, and I really love the master in its holiday finery. That chaise next to the window with the tree in front would be where I would spend time reading through much of winter. I know I stick with the red & green traditional Christmas and play it up with plaids and other patterns, but I do enjoy the soft palette your home offers. From the moment you step through your front door (and that nativity is simply stunning), anyone knows it's going to be special.

Speaking of special, those grands of yours are adorable. That one on the right looks like he could give you a run for your money. :)

Wishing you the joy and blessings all through the Christmas season and well beyond!

    1. Thank you, Rita! I have enjoyed your traditional Christmas decor too and sometimes wished it went better with our decor. That little one on the right is the sweetest, orneriest thing. All three of them put the 'grand' in our lives. We are blessed.

  4. I just realized I hadn't looked for your blog in a while. Wow! All the Christmas posts have knocked my socks off!

You have literally tweaked your house into perfection.

The new living room rug is beautiful. The dining room tree is one of my favorite trees I've ever seen. I could go on and on about the things I love; you have outdone your own self!

And how on God's green earth does someone get an armoire like that for $75??????? I am very inspired and will probably come back to these photos over and over again. Someone call up Romantic Home! They NEED to photograph this.

    2. By adding the dark blue to the existing creams and aquas, it's introduced a snappy element that I love. I feel like I learned something about color.

  9. Wow, love what you did in your bedroom! The tree looks just wonderful. Actually the whole room is pretty amazing, lol. We're getting a lot of snow here in NW Indiana, so far we're at about 8 or 9 inches but we stayed home too. Just finishing up some diy projects around the house and of course I got some wrapping done.

    Lovely bedroom Lynda!

I'm having a bit of snow envy. Yep, I'm one of those crazies who would love to see snow instead of rain this time of year.
