A Blue and White Tablescape

Happy Tuesday!  I hope you're all having a great day!

This was our Easter dinner tablescape.  I started collecting blue and white porcelain and dishes several years ago.  I have several different patterns of dishes and have never bought them in a set.

I picked most of them up at HomeGoods.  I rarely found a large amount of anything at once and just bought whatever I loved.

I love the freshness of blue and white and have now convinced myself it goes with everything!  lol
None of the accessories on my table match the dishes and I think that's what makes it interesting.
The candles are flameless.  Have you tried them?  At first I thought they were weird but these are scented and I love that I don't need to be concerned for my grandchildren's safety when I want candlelight.
I love adding the cut water glasses and wine glasses to give the table some sparkle and no one but you can figure out how I got my planter to match my napkins exactly!  :)

Love and blessings~

"But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,  even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),  and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,"  Ephesians 2:4-6

  1. I have to agree... the blue and white is very fresh and crisp!
As a child, my grandmother's everyday dishes were 'blue willow' . She was a BIG part of my early childhood and upon her passing at age 10, I was inconsolable. Until a few years ago, I could not bring myself to look at blue and white.... Now all of a sudden, I long for them so. I feel the need to have them ... to be close to her. Nostalgia I guess now that I have grands of my own.
I have always searched for blue willow... but at $11. and upwards for one plate... whew!!! Makes a service for 8 pretty steep. Now , I will rethink and just look for blue and white!
    Thanks Lynda :)
    Hugs, Gee

    1. Thank you for telling me about your grandmother, Gee. I have things like that too that remind me of my dad, who died in November, and my grandparents. Memories are precious and bittersweet sometimes. I'm always glad to hear from you - you were gone for a while!

  3. Beautiful table setting. It sure looks like everything matches and you have to look closely to see the subtle differences but that's what makes it unique! Love the lemons too yellow always makes the blue stand out.

  6. Lynda, You blue and white table is lovely. I love all of the accent pieces and the pink roses are gorgeous in their blue and white container. I agree everything goes with blue and white. I have been collecting pieces and parts of sets here and there for years. I finally found a complete set of one pattern this last year. I hope to do a tablescape with it sometime soon.
