I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. My husband and I traveled to Boston a couple of weeks ago to visit our son, Matt, at Fetchnotes. We had a wonderful trip. We were home for a short 6 days and then flew to Auburn, AL where Mark spoke at an Economics conference at the Mises Institute.
The weather in Auburn was glorious - 77 and sunny! Coming home, I took off my sandals at the airport in Atlanta and put on my boots and winter coat. This is our view into our backyard today in Michigan...
But there's still no place like home. I love to travel but it's always so great to get home. (I keep repeating that over and over to myself as the snow blows in my face today.)
So to cheer myself up, I 'puttered' around and added some more 'Spring' to the living room.
If you're new to my blog this room has gone through a lot of changes in the years we've lived here. It used to have a lot of print and and I'm loving the white but I'm also thinking the white chairs in front of the fireplace are a little boring. They may get a make over again soon - lol.
The bird pillow on the love seat is from Hobby Lobby as well as the ribbon roses pillow on the Bergerge chair. I made the two larger blue pillows on the love seat.
The tray on the ottoman is also Hobby Lobby but it was black when I bought it. I painted it and distressed it. I painted the art above the fireplace onto some scrap boards.
I am hoping that this summer we'll replace the sliding glass door on the left with French doors and the one on the right (behind the love seat) with windows and a low wall.
So it's still 20 degrees outside but it's feeling like Spring inside. I'll just live in my bubble.
Maybe I should put a fire in the fireplace....*sigh*
Have a wonderful day! There is so much to be thankful for!
"We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks, For Your name is near; Men declare Your wondrous works." Psalms 75:1
Look at all that snow... At present, it is a beautiful sunny, blue sky 74 degrees with a wild wind :) Making a chill as the breeze blows through the house, I have all the windows opened. But this is North Central Florida and it's normal. Also normal is the cold 35 it will be tonight. :) Tomorrow's high is a predicted 70. :) Sigh...
ReplyDeleteI do luv your living room . I am finding the blue and white so cheery, but clamming at the same time.
Hugs, Gee
Gee, I better take a trip to Florida next. It sounds great! Thanks for the sweet comments!
ReplyDeleteLove the spring touches! We had a little taste of spring, today. Supposed to be almost 70°, tomorrow. As you know, we'll probably get another big snow, next week! Stay warm and dream of warmer weather!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Deb! That's one of the wonderful things about Colorado is that you get warm sunny days even in the middle of winter. That hasn't happened here unfortunately. Enjoy your warm day! I'm envious!
