French Baskets

Happy First Day of Spring!

I am very happy for those of you who live South of us and are starting to have warm weather.  Here in Michigan, we are just grateful that it's 20 degrees when we get up in the morning and not 20 below like it has been!  Our snow has melted away except for the big piles and we can see now see dead, smashed grass.  It'll take at least another month before things get 'Springy' around here.

But that's no reason not to get ready!

I put together this French wall basket to hang on my door.  We have ordered a new front door and are hoping to have it installed in the next couple of weeks.  Until then, my basket can brighten up our entry hall!
I ordered the basket from Antique Farmhouse.  The flowers are silk from many years ago and the I got the wired ribbon at Walmart.
I recently got this wonderful French shopping basket at World Market.  I'm using it as an umbrella stand in my front hall but styled it out for the blog for fun.
If you've never seen one, they have two wheels on the back and you can roll them.  I love it!  It sits by the front door and usually just holds a few umbrellas and walking sticks.

Have a wonderful weekend!  I'm hoping to be back on Monday with pictures of our kitchen.

love and blessings~
